Betty Bryant-Johnson, often called “B.J.”, is an artist and published writer whose creative abilities travel in many directions. She is a visual artist now pursuing decorative painting (she created the rose artwork for our company's logo) and the conversion of recycled objects to functional and inspirational treasures. As a fabric artist, Betty makes a variety of Prayer Stoles. The stoles featured here are meticulously made, artistically embossed and embellished.

As a writer and poet, she is currently juggling several projects which will be presented here as they become available. Betty is also an ordained interfaith minister, being led to channel creative energies into service as a chaplain to women of all persuasions. Deeply spiritual and divinely guided, she established Love, Joy and Peace Creations in 2004, with dual purposes. First, to present beautiful items, music and art that will comfort, inspire and motivate others.  Secondly, to provide sufficient income to be able to give more to those in need, particularly women and children. In short, Betty says, “My life’s goal is to make a “giving” utilizing every talent, ability and resource God has made available to me.  What a delight it is to be able to work with my daughter and granddaughter in this endeavor.”

Joy and Angela Thomason

Joy Johnson Thomason is a professional pianist, composer, artist and writer. By sharing her own spiritual path through her creative vision, she seeks to encourage women to deepen and enliven their own spiritual lives. Her music is composed with the intention of promoting physical, emotional and spiritual growth and healing. Her CDs will be available here as they are released, and any music that you may hear while visiting our site is composed and performed by Joy. As an artist, Joy created the handpainted Prayer and Meditation Lanterns offered here. She also is led to sculpt her interpretation of the mysterious and potent Black Madonnas found worldwide; this is an outgrowth of her deepening relationship with the Chartres labyrinth. Joy has a special devotion to Notre Dame de Sous Terre, one of the two Black Madonnas located in Chartres Cathedral, Chartres, France. Her sculptures offered here are not meant to be replicas of a particular Madonna, but are, rather, symbolic of the depth, power and mystery Joy finds within these ancient figures. As a writer, she offers brief guides on both the finger labyrinth and the Black Madonnas, among others. Joy believes creativity is infinitely spiritual, and that Spirit is the highest manifestation of the Creative Force. Being able to combine the two within her life’s work, Joy says, “brings a depth and constant awareness of the Mystery into my life that is intriguing, endlessly inspiring and profound. The journey may be challenging at times, but the gifts along the way illuminate my path and add a richness and beauty to my life that continues to amaze and delight me.”

Born three months prematurely and not expected to live, Angela has spent the last 11 years amazing all who know her. Every day is a challenge, as she has a number of chronic medical conditions, including hydrocephalus and cerebral palsy. She is also legally blind. Though she is unable to talk, Angela, nonetheless, speaks with eloquence in her own special way. Her (very proud) mother, Joy, believes that Angela is a blessing of the deepest kind, and feels boundless gratitude for the presence of this magical child in her life. With Angela has come many challenges and difficulties, all of which pale in comparison to the wonderful people, amazing experiences, deep wisdom and spiritual growth that she has brought into our lives. Betty, her Grandmommie, is equally grateful for having this special child in our midst. She credits Angela with helping her to withstand the overwhelming grief that came with the sudden death of her husband less than four months prior to Angela’s birth. It was to be one of many graces that came with Angela’s arrival and subsequent survival.  Angela has taught us much about life, about living and about love. Her inner light serves as a beacon for us and our company, and to live and work by its radiance is to see very clearly, indeed.
